A letter from our president
Welcome!
My sisters and I warmly invite you to the Delta Kappa page of Alpha Delta Pi at the Pennsylvania State University! My name is Maddie Peckheiser and I am honored to serve as the current chapter President.
As a first-year student, I wanted to go through the recruitment process because I was eager to find a group of women who I could call my sisters; genuine people passionate about what they are doing. I wanted a place in which I could make such a big school like Penn State feel more like a home. I certainly found that home and those people within Alpha Delta Pi. Whether it be academic, professional, personal, or service-related, the people in ADPi were nothing but passionate about their interests and endeavors, and more than excited to get to know me as well. I was so appreciative of the inclusivity and openness these women had, and I’ve never felt more at home at Penn State than with these women.
Alpha Delta Pi’s open motto is “We Live For Each Other”, which our Penn State chapter has certainly embodied. Every day I am reminded of the constant support each member has for another, making this sisterhood a safe and reliable place where sisters are willing to lend a helping hand. This sisterhood is a space in which I feel like I can be my truest self, and even feel encouraged and pushed to be my best self. From day one I have felt supported by this group of wonderful women, and I am so proud to have this type of welcoming environment being fostered by my sisters. I know I have sisters who have my back through the good and the bad, and I am honored to do the same for any of them. The memories created through this sisterhood are some that will live in my heart forever, as Alpha Delta Pi has given me my people, along with endless opportunities and much, much more.
I am so proud to call Alpha Delta Pi home and represent this amazing group of women. We hope this site helps you learn more about our values, philanthropy, sisterhood, and what it really means to live for each other in Alpha Delta Pi at Penn State.
Loyally,
