Don't be afraid to make new friends
Whether she's in your Pi Chi group or visiting the same recruitment party as you, always take advantage of the opportunity to meet new people. Even if you don't end up in the same chapter, most of these girls will end up in the Panhellenic community just like you; chatting with them can help you meet girls outside of your future chapter and broaden your experience at Penn State.
Stay on top of your assignments
Because Penn State holds recruitment in the beginning of the semester, it can be hard to balance going Greek with getting used to a new class schedule. At times, it can be tempting to put off homework until after bid day. Don't hesitate to bring your laptop or any assignments to work on between parties. This can help kill some time and make sure you don't fall behind in your classes.
Talk to your pi chis
A Pi Chi is a sorority woman who disaffiliates from her chapter in order to become a recruitment counselor for new members. Take advantage of these ladies as much as possible. They are there to guide you through the recruitment process and can help give you a more fun and memorable experience.
Don't be afraid to show us who you really are! Alpha Delta Pi is a unique group of girls and we're looking to add to the pack. Whether you're a fashionista who follows all the trends or a die-hard Harry Potter fan, the recruitment process will help you find girls with similar interests. Remember, this will be your home away from home for the next four years, you want to end up in a sorority that truly embodies your personal spirit.
Relax! We've all been in your shoes at one point or another. The recruitment process can be taxing, but once it's all over, you'll find your forever friends. It's important to make sure you're taking care of yourself. Try to get a good amount sleep each night, eat healthy, and stay hydrated. This will ensure that you have enough energy to endure those long hours and put your best foot forward each day.
